This two day tour is perfect for culture and nature lovers. It combines visiting and learning about a Hmong village ad 3 incredible caves includin the famous Water Cave as well as staying with a family in a village and learning how to cook Lao food.
We will first drive about 14km north to Ban Phatao (Hmong village). After visiting the village we will trek 30minutes through rice fields to the Elephant Adventure Village to visit the Water Cave and have lunch. Here we will go tubing inside the water cave. You can tube for up to 500m. Time to relax and swim in the clear, cool waters outside the cave before we have lunch. Fried rice, BBQ, bread, fruit & water will be provided (we also cater for vegetarian and vegan).
After lunch we then trek a few hundred metres to Tham Hoi and Tham Loup caves. Tham Hoi is 4km deep cave guarded by a Large Buddha statue. There is also an underground lake inside the cave. Tham Loup is a largely untouched cave with some impressive stalactites and small Buddha statues inside.
After a day of trekking you will have time to relax and swim at the Blue Lagoon 4 before heading to Elephant Adventure Village where you will spend a night with a local family in their home.
In the homestay you will have the opportunity to learn about the villagers' culture and to catch your own fish to cook on the barbecue for dinner.
On day 2 after breakfast you will learn about life on the farm. You can help on the farm and take the buffalo to the field and learn about day to day life here.
After lunch we will trek back to the Nam Song river where you will receive introductory training for kayaking before setting off down the river and back to Vang Vieng.
